We have to meet with our Chief Experience Officer (CEO) and it is the first official day of our 7 day tour – the same as next Saturday is day 7 of the tour even though we are flying to San Jose Costa Rica on the Saturday. I am really glad we only spent one night pre-tour at the Hotel Tayroma as we were spoilt at the La Jorara. We are only in semi-double beds so my legs are about 6 inches longer than the bed.
Stu and I went for a walk along the beach this morning – of note the beaches to the left of the hotel are not swimmable = there is glass in the sand and junk all over the beach. They only seem to clean the beach in the tourist area.
After breakfast we explored the shopping precinct then dropped stuff off back to the hotel and went out with Jayenne (Peter was a little under the weather today). The pictures today are all of the streets around the hotel and the amazing colonial architecture (and a tres leche cake).
Stu and i are having a last pre-hike cocktail before we meet the CEO this evening.
