Today and tomorrow are free days – we have nothing in particular planned other than taking it easy and exploring Chaweng which is the area we are staying in.
Stu and I slept in until 6 this morning which is unusual for us. We went for a walk along the sand and down into the township of Chaweng. It was very nice walking along the beach without lots of people this morning. Down the beach from us there were warnings about jelly fish and sea urchins but none on our beach which i am hoping means our part is clear of these two things.

It was very nice to see that all the resorts work together to keep the beach clean.

After breakfast we had a dip in the lower pool while Craig had a neck and shoulder massage before we got changed to go out for the day.
The four of us walked along the beach into Chaweng where we ended up having a one hour foot massage for about 200B each. The ladies were really good and had very strong hands.

After a little more shopping Craig found a pub that was showing the Collingwood match so Linsey, Stu and I became footy widows which meant margarita time.

We left Craig at the pub to explore a but more – I found a street vendor who makes ice cream rolls so I tried a chocolate with banana and pineapple. It’s made in front of you on a very cold counter top.

Further up the street we tried some thai food (amazing green curry) and i had my first cocktail of the day – Pina Colada. Wandering further up the street we found this new shopping centre and explored this a bit – including trying a coconut ice cream roll from a different vendor (Mr Tee’s chocolate is still my favourite).

It seems at the moment tourism is a bit quiet on Koh Samui which means restaurants and shops etc aren’t too busy. The flip side to this normally means that the vendors are a little more pushy but we aren’t really finding that either it is much more chilled than Phuket.
We left the hotel about 10am this morning and finally wandered back about 5:30 (still no Craig) so after a dip in the top pool (relatively child free), some G&Ts using Gin Alison gave us, Stu and I went up the road and had some thai food and soft drinks – Stu is vowing tomorrow will be a dry day lol.
