A change of scenery today and we also had to say goodbye to Linsey and Craig (whose holiday to Koh Samui we crashed after cancelling Sri Lanka) who have headed back to Brisbane with a layover in Singapore. We had a final breakfast by the beach and said our goodbyes. We also said goodbye to Koh Samui today as we are heading to Koh Tao for 3 nights.
Our driver picked us up at 11 – let me say i don’t know what we’ve bought that keeps making our bags heavier – and took us to the Lompraya pier at Mae Nam which is up the far end of the beach we were swimming at yesterday.
The boat i quite full but i was surprised at how quickly check in and boarding went. The only problem is seating. Being very sunburnt we had to sit outside on the middle deck. They have a VIP seating area for about $5 which is air conditioned or a downstairs area that is only just air conditioned but smells of BO.
The 2 hour trip was pretty smooth, they offloaded and onboarded at Koh Phangan before heading to Koh Tao. The island is beautiful but i dont have a lot of photos as not long after we arrived it rained for a while. The evening has been fine and we have explored around where we are staying. Tomorrow we will go further afield. We are hoping to snorkle on our last day weather permitting.
