Island time may or may not mean that I’ve lost count lol.
Before I start a couple of Harriet pictures from yesterday.

Harriets Balinese cousin

Stu and I were up early for a walk – mind you early is a little pointless though as breakfast is not served until 8. We had a few instant coffees to tide us over until then although we should have walked back up mushroom beach and got a coffee at the new cafe that’s here.
Today we decided to hire a scooter each to go round the island travel insurance and licensing be damned – below is a picture of our scooters.

Just kidding we are way too much goody goodies to hire scooters we’re not licensed or insured to drive.
The golf carts got us around the island for the day – we could have had it until 7 but by 3:30 we were pretty much pooped.
The island had changed so much since we were last here. There has been so much development there are warungs and villas everywhere. We drove around to the mangrove forest and there was no longer anywhere to park you had to walk in past tour vendors and shops so we didn’t go in. Below is from a hotel where there never used to be one.

We ended up going to the yellow bridge to ceningen. We couldn’t take the golf cart across so we walked over and found a bar on the water to have a cold drink at before heading back over the bridge to the golf cart.

After that we decided to head to an old favourite the Lembongan Beach Club to relax by a pool with an ocean view, have a couple of drinks and sone food. One observation of Bali it is now very hard to find Balinese food it is mostly western or westernised if there is anything Balinese on the menu.

After this we went to the Devils Tear along with quite a few Chinese tourists before heading back to our hotel to return the buggy and have a dip in the pool and enjoy our duty free we brought with us.
