Day 8 = Boxing Day 2019

Today is a transit day, we’re returning from Lembongan to Sanur. Our boat is at 10 so we had to get packed and ready by 9.

Last night the power across the island was restored so I think those hotels with small to medium generators breathes a sigh of relief. We had also left stuff at the back of the villa which was soaked so we will have to try and dry them out before we fly home on Saturday.

The boat was much more bumpy going back than it was coming over – there were a few green looking people when we arrived in Sanur.

We are staying at the Parma Sanur Beach for our last two nights – this is an older 5 star hotel which should probably have its rating reduced. I think we were spoiled at Naturale despite it being half of what we are paying per night here.

The gardens are very beautiful and the property is huge, and while we have a garden view room we can see the ocean from here. The beach in front of the hotel is a private beach for hotel guest only.

We couldn’t check in until 2 so we wandered around the area, grabbed some lunch and had a dip in the pool. We chilled for most of the afternoon then walked along the beach to the far end of Sanur so that we could go to the night markets for dinner. We had a cocktail on the beach on the way.

Dinner was great we had chicken and duck egg murtabak and fried tempe with soft drinks which cost us $6 so we’ll be back tomorrow night for a Nasi Campur or something else Balinese. The sambal served with the tempe was spicy but so delicious.
