Day 9 – Sanur

The holiday is sadly coming to an end – we fly home tomorrow night and are due to arrive back in Brisbane at 5am on Sunday. This 10 days has gone so quickly.

We didn’t have anything planned today so started slowly with breakfast by the beach and a wander along the beach to where the path ends then back through the streets. Stu got his haircut and beard trimmed at a local barber and we bought a couple of gifts . Because we have a lot of Balinese stuff at home we didn’t buy anything for us.

We had a dip in the pool before heading to the resorts Indonesian restaurant for lunch. Surprisingly the food was delicious and pretty reasonably priced. I had chicken Nasi Goreng and Stu seafood mie Goreng. We shared a mixed satay as a starter.

We had a massage in the afternoon and were going to have a drink on the ocean at Bamboo the hotels beach bar but the service was crap the drinks were expensive and all made on Balimoon which is horrible and the happy hour was buy 1 finish the drink and get a second one free when you finish – which meant you had to each order one and drink 2 drinks each. So we got showered and walked up the beach to the Maya and Tree. This bar is amazing and happy hour was just a straight 50% off.

After a couple of strong and cheap cocktails we headed up to the night market where we had our last Nasi Campur. She made it extra spicy this time lol.
