We had a lovely dinner with Tania and her husband Cam last night. The foods at the Captain’s Daughter was pretty reasonable for the fact the restaurant is in the heart of Peregian. I even had a pink pirate cocktail.

This morning Stu went for a run while I caught up on the news. After breakfast we took Eric to the dog friendly beach at Peregian. Eric is not a water dog he is funny though because he seems to forget that he hates the surf and when we get to the water he runs in up to his knees and then when the remainder of the broken wave hits him he runs out and won’t come back in. Eric loves the sand though the stickier and wetter the better.

After we got cleaned up we drove into the hinterland and visited the lovely (and busy) little town of Buderim. For those not from Queensland it is the Buderim of the Buderim Ginger Factory which is a misnomer because the Ginger Factory is at Yandina. There are beautiful vistas from Buderim across the coast.

We drove back through Mooloolaba and Maroochydore and Cotton Tree – there is so much development going on at the moment and I think the Sunshine Coast is going to end up a lot like the Gold Coast just a little more spread out.

We had lunch at Coolum and then walked down to the beach – it is really beautiful there. Eric is still not 100% so we hopped back in the car and went back to our apartment (which has grown on us) and had a rest before we took Eric to the beach for a little while to schnitzel.
