Day 9 – canberra

Today is our last full day in Canberra – tomorrow we are heading for Diamond Waters just south of Port Macquarie. We’ll be staying there for 2 nights before the final leg home.

We visited mum and dad again today to pick up a couple of bits and pieces that won’t fit into their new apartment. With tomorrow being a big drive, we have decided to hang around Canberra today.

We parked at the National Library and walked down to the Gallery then across to Old Parliament House. The weather this trip has been far better than we thought it would be as it was raining in Brisbane when we left (I believe it is still raining up there). We are hoping the north coast of NSW is a bit drier than last time we were up there.

We’ve visited my brother, sister-in-law and nephews and nieces, Malik was well enough for a visit this afternoon. We (including Eric) are pretty tired it has been a very hectic week and a bit. Eric collapsed on the couch when we got home and is snoring there as I type this now.
