After a bit of a restless night we both woke up about 4 am. We waited until 5:30 to go for a walk – we traced the route from Stu’s birthday night. As it turns out our hotel is next to the MRT station we came to before meeting Mum and Dad at Clarke Quay. We walked down to the Fullerton and then found our way to a nice hawker centre Lau Pa Sat.
Singapore doesn’t tend to wake up very early so we just had an iced tea/coffee then tried to find our way back to our hotel. In ended up having to use google maps to get back.
We have eaten “local style” today. The Parkroyal breakfast is $40++ per person, we ended up paying about $15 total for our breakfast. I had BBQ pork buns and Stu had spicy noodles with meat balls. We also tried a pandan pao which was really nice.

We headed over the Bugis Street forgetting that most shops don’t open until 10 or 11 in the morning. The shops were not only closed but very hot – they don’t turn the aircon on until just before they open. I bought a blind box Labubu and was very happy with the one that was inside.

We came back to the hotel and had a dip in the pool and wandered along the garden walk which is beautiful.

We had a Singaporean lunch at Lau Pa Sat – I had Hainanese Chicken and Stu had a chicken and prawn soup. The food is amazing, so fresh and the price can’t b beaten. With drinks we spend about $12 for both meals and drinks.
We walked back through Chinatown and found a no-added sugar chcoloate and gelati shop – the gelati was really nice as was the sugar free samples they gave us. I will very kikely be back there before we go. We can’t go to Chinatown with a visit to the Tintin Shop – Stu may have bought a keyring. Stu is a bit tired so while he was having a rest I organised some foot reflexology at the hotel spa.

OMG! It looks like you are having an amazing time together in Singapore! It is wonderful to hear about your experiences and adventures. I’m very jealous! xx

Where’s the photo of the Tintin key ring. Was that a Belgian beer you were having? Fruit flavoured?

The drink was a Singapore Sling. I’ll take a photo of the keyring today.
