Stu and i are off to have Christmas on Bali. For the last couple of Christmases we have spent Christmas away from each other with me in Canberra and Stu in Brisbane. This year we decided we would spend it together (a little selfish I know).
We were supposed to fly out at 10 this morning however when we got up at 4 to get ready to head off and drop Eric to Kim’s place, we woke up to a text telling us our flight was now 16:30. We had been looking forward to getting to Bali in the early afternoon having a swim and then getting a walk in while it was still light. However we are now due to land at 20:45 and will likely not get to the hotel in Sanur until about 23:00.
This meant that at 4 am this morning i was changing our lounge passes (our present to ourselves) so that we could go in to the lounge this afternoon, and changed our car park to this afternoon too. I couldn’t get on to our arrival transfer but according to the booking voucher they will know if the flight has been delayed – so we will only know how that goes once we land.
We got through customs and immigration so quickly – we were the only people there and through duty free and are sitting at the MyLounge which is a nice little lounge down in the Virgin Australia end of the airport. I tried pink gin which was very delicious. Harriet even had a sip.
