BALI DAY 6 – SANUR

Today has been a really quiet day both on purpose and by accident. We have now done all of our organised activities so we were just going to hang around Sanur until Wednesday or maybe catch a cab over to Kuta/Legian/Seminyak if we felt up to it.

While we went for a walk as usual it was only a relatively short walk as we were both a bit unwell last night. Stu’s seems to have passed but I think mine is kind of digging in. I think I definitely have a light case of Bali Belly. For those who have followed my blog you would know I never get sick from food while we are away, which is either due to me not eating fish/seafood or the vaccination I normally get for cholera which protects against a lot of food borne disease. This time it has definitely set in – we ordered lunch today and I got through about 2 spoon fulls of it and had to send it back. I reassured the staff the food was not at fault. This means I have been relegated to western food rather than Balinese food. This seems to have helped tonight.

We did wander up the road and catch a show by local artists that is being sponsored by on of the hotels here in Sanur.

We have decided we really want to get out of the hotel tomorrow, although it is beautiful we have exhausted most of what Sanur has to offer. We are going to head to the Bali Park and then over to Canggu – one of Stu’s work colleagues arrived today and if she is free we might catch up.ird We are already feeling sad that our short holiday is coming to an end. I’m not looking forward to Wednesday as there are way too many hiding spots for Stu at the Maya.
