We certainly can’t complain about the weather although I do seem to be finding a lot to complain about in my blog posts this holidays. There are still very few people on Lembongan the island feels very empty.
We had breakfast at the hotel. Now, I’m not going to complain that if you want a proper coffee and not black Bali Coffee then you have to pay for it, I am miffed that it was $5.20 per cup and they were the world’s tiniest cups which barely held 150ml of coffee. Tomorrow we’ll have our free coffee and then we’ll drink Bali coffee.
After breakfast we decided to walk over the Mushroom Bay where we normally stay – it’s about 3.5km following the coast. We were fine until we decided to leave the beach and then I got a little turned around, so much development so little tourism!

The boats were arriving as we got to the other landing site and very few people got off, there were also very few people touting – none selling taxis. We decided to walk back so instead of taking the beach we took the road that runs up the middle of the island. Bad move on my part first day wearing Cotton On sandals that rubbed my left foot and it was about 32C and there is no shade the whole way.
A taxi pulled up and asked if we wanted a lift, Stu replied Ohhh Yes, we think all the driver heard was Oh (no) as he drove off up the road without us. I have Mister Whippy tearing past me, Stu scares off taxi drivers. Another guy came past about 5 minutes later. By this time we just answered yes and didn’t even argue the price just jumped in the back.
After a bit of a swim we tried a restaurant a few doors down, again almost no Indonesian food, the only dish they had was Nasi Campur which is what I have been craving. It was delicious but a very big meal. Stu finally got his cold coconut too!

We spoilt ourselves with a mani-pedi mine went really well, Stu’s lady wouldn’t put coloured nail polish on his fingers and when he asked her to do three fingers she did a pretty pad job of it – so bad Stu had to have it removed. The cat lives at the Spa.

We’ve just come back from some happy hour cocktails and are going to venture out for a light dinner a bit later. We’ve booked an East Penida Island tour tomorrow which starts at 8 and finishes about 5. We did the west coast last November, the east is more remote so looking forward to less tourists (I’m assuming they are all on Penida rather than Lembongan.

PS I think we’d still be walking if we hadn’t caught that taxi!
Thanks for sharing Davin 🙂 l love and miss Nusa Lembongan! Have the best time! 🙂
